HIKING IN ALASKA - ANAKTUVUK PASS – BROOKS RANGE - 8 days The Nunamuit (inland Eskimo) village of Anaktuvuk Pass is the starting point for this scenic and challenging 65 mile trek in the Brooks Range. Our route will take us along and over the arctic divide, over Ernie Pass, through the Valley of Precipices, and down Ernie Creek to the North Fork of the Koyukuk River. Opportunities are great for seeing game, such as Dall sheep, grizzly bear, moose, and possibly caribou. Our journey ends between the "Gates of the Arctic," Boreal Mountain and Frigid Crags, where you have the option of continuing on to Bettles by way of the Koyukuk River (our North Fork Combo trip).Book Now!   |
